Morphling Submitted for Ludum Dare 35

Our latest Ludum Dare game has been submitted, this time called Morphling.  The theme was Shapeshifting, and we went all out to build a game around that concept.  We ended up with a traditional pixel art platformer with a very arcadey feel, but with the added twist of morphing into one of 6 different animals to perform different actions.

Immediately after it was done, none of us were that happy with it, but after coming back to it it’s actually one of our strongest games.  The platforming controls feel good and the pixel art style works really well.

Yet again the main failing we had was level design – we left it all until the last minute, and so had a nice game with terrible levels.  The concept was a success though, so it may be something we come back to.

You can play Morphling on our games page, or over at here.
